Copyright Theft
Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.
gainesvillecoins.com
Gainesville Coins is just one of the many coin dealers, bloggers & websites worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission. They have repeatedly used different images, without permission. On their website, a page of which we reproduce here, they are clearly using our 2005 1oz Maple coin photographs.
They have added text over the images to claim them as their own. This is totally dishonest and misleading.

2005 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf
As many people collect the Silver Maple Leaf strictly for its bullion quality, these coins will serve their purpose as well as any in the series..
Stock photo is for reference only
Front/Obverse
2005 was the second year that the Susanna Blunt portrait of Queen Elizabeth II graced the obverse of the Silver Maple Leaf. Facing right and wearing a string of pearls, the Queen has no crown. The date and denomination of 5 dollars is found on the bottom edge.
Rear/Reverse
The reverse features the familiar Maple Leaf design that has been the standard arrangement of this coin since its inception in 1988. The inscription “Fine Silver 1 oz Argent Pur” declares the coin’s weight in English and French.
What’s Wrong?
It is dishonest and unethical to pirate and steal other people’s work by using high quality copyright photographs without the owner’s consent. We can partially understand why they do it; it is quick and easy (but then so is robbing people).
