Copyright Theft

Perhaps we should be flattered by the number of people including dealers who continually infringe our IP (Intellectual Property) rights by using our copyright images and blatantly copying our text, word for word in some cases such as this one, but we do not find it amusing, and will take legal action against any copyright thieves.

ourthgarrideb.com is just one of the many coin dealers, bloggers & websites worldwide who commit copyright theft by using our copyright images without our permission. On their webpage they are clearly using our 1912 Sovereign photograph.

THE MYSTERY of the missing bag of gold was a case over which Sherlock Holmes might have pondered with the aid of his violin, his hypodermic syringe, and a couple of pipes of the strongest tobacco. And, of course, the support of the ever-faithful Dr Watson.

But this was a mystery which the famous detective was not called upon to solve. It was a matter for the Scouts of the 1st Crowborough Troop, and the bag of gold was the prize in a treasure hunt arranged by Holmes’ creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

What’s Wrong?

We invest a great deal of time, effort, and cost into creating some of the best photographic coin and gold bar images on the internet. We strongly object when lazy and dishonest people decide to use them without a by your leave or thanks, doing so in competition with us. It is always possible, even likely, that sellers who steal photographs do not own a similar item, and have the intention to totally defraud potential buyers.
